I miss my corpse
It may come to a surprise to you, but I've actually withdrawn my name from participating in more Exquisite Corpses because I have just become to busy. I think. Anyway, I still have ten to show you that I actually did, and here's one of them. Oh, joy.
So here's the slice I was given. Well, I see what looks like some plants, maybe marble walls, and a symmetrical design. Alright, lets see what I can find on the web!
This might work well to continue those marble-looking walls. I'll hang on to this one. What else did I find...

Oooo, I think these will do nicely. Just look at those shovels! Perfect! And if Patrick, John and Dean read this blog, I hope you don't mind I used this image.

These will come in handy too a little bit later. But, just in case, I'd better get...
...A big alien head. Okay, we are ready to start building this thing!
As always, I first carry the background on through, and continue some of those branches and colors.
Now I'll bring in those walls and make sure they match up with the slice I was given. Man, where can I use that alien head?
Just a little bit more continuation from the slice... Still trying to figure out where to put that alien head...
Now I'll bring in that orchard scene, and adjust the color a bit. I had to squish it a little bit to make it work, but I don't think it's noticeable. Alien head, alien head...hmmmmmm.
Here are those tiles I found. I actually created another Photoshop file and arranged them first, then changed the perspective and brought them over to this file. Not looking too bad. But maybe the alien head could... well... no.
And finally I added John with his favorite spade. And now we have a creepy looking picture. Reminds me of that X-Files episode. Hey wait! X-Files, alien head! There has to be a place for it!!!! Drat!
Well, here's the final product. It got pretty rave reviews when it was posted. I was quite happy with it. The other Corpseers did a dandy job.

Rejection revisited
As I explained once before in not so specific terms, I occasionally do sketches on the Illustration Friday theme, but get too lazy and never scan them. Here are a couple I did a while back during the Rejection week.
I believe she's either giving this lucky fellow a phone number, or demonstrating her impressive vocal qualities around the 100 decibel level.
"I'm sorry. I never date anyone with more than 5 eyes."

The numbers don't lie.
I'd like to thank all 6 people that voted this week. All 6 of you are wonderful people, I'm sure of it. In fact, I think the 6 people that voted this week deserve a round of applause for the 6 votes they cast in this poll. May all 6 of you have a wonderful weekend.Well, according to the majority of votes, it looks like there were only 5 people that voted this week. The 6 of you that voted need to get together and decide who really didn't vote. And to the 16.7% of the 6 people that voted that said there were 6 people that voted, it would seem you are mistaken. Obviously, there were only 5 votes. Better luck next time.

Now you know I'm a geek.
And now, for your entertainment, I give the the Internet world premier of "Jedi Skyler vs The Evil Schmughqxtyr!"
It was filmed back in November of 2005, but wasn't actually finished until just recently. Shot a long time ago, in galaxy far, far away. (Traveling expenses were outrageous!) Enjoy!

Monday Night Staff Meeting Sketch #20
Most of the sketches tonight are so excited to be back in a Monday Night Staff Meeting Sketch post, that they are all celebrating in their own little ways.
This guy is so excited, he just can't hold back how "very important" he feels. Or, maybe his name is just Vip. And he likes to wear sandwich boards with his name on it.
Oh, and this big fella can't hold back, and is just waving that flag like there's no tomorrow! "Hooray!" he says, "M.N.S.M.S is back! And a big asteroid is going to slam into my house tomorrow!"
This guy was so thrilled that he went out and bought himself a new pair of ears. Now, that might be just a bit overboard, but I'm not going to stop him.
Not to end on a downer, but I happened to notice an elusive drawing-eating grass hump the other day in the back. I've warned all my sketches to stay clear of it, but a few of them just got too curious after work today. Let this be a lesson to all future M.N.S.M.S-es.

His rates are through the roof.
Plucky: So, tell me about yourself...Me: Well, I have this blog... and people come to it to see my drawings and vote in my polls and...
Plucky: And you really think these people...exist?
Me: Of course they do... I think. Huh. I guess I never considered...
Plucky: Maybe you don't even have a blog?
Me: ...Do you think I have a blog?
Plucky: Would it make a difference?
Me: Well, I guess not. So, what do you...
Plucky: I think you are a large, flippered mammal lost in the sea of life.
Me: Flippered mammal...?
Plucky: The ebb and flow of your environment is perpetuating... Oh, excuse me. I have a track meet in less than an hour. I'll see you again next week. Good day.
Me: But I still have... *slam!*

Silly Putty Close-Up Thursday #31
I am imagination. I can see what the eyes cannot see. I can hear what the ears cannot hear. I can feel what the heart cannot feel.Peter Nivio Zarlenga
...Wait, let me guess... You can also speak what the mouth cannot speak, smell what the nose cannot smell, and burp what the stomach cannot burp. Amazing.

Bye, bye birdie

It's got a great view.
This is an actual photograph of the new house I just moved into last week. It's really not to bad, except for the whole thing teetering on a ball joint, having a slanty floor, and being positioned right over razor sharp poison-tipped spears.I get good reception though!

I think that icon is for cheese.
I always enjoy seeing what icons are in menu bars from other Mac-users. It gives a little insight to who they are.Well, here is what I have on my menu bar at my work. Recognize any of these? Try to guess the icons, and you will win a prize! (An autographed plush toy of Cluster T. Uva mowing the lawn.) Good luck!
